HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME

This is not a standalone PC game. It is a ROM hack (i.e. an edited version) of the SNES game Super Mario World.
Therefore, it is a game for the SNES.

SNES games can be played on a computer using a ROM (a file that contains all the data from the game cartridge)
and an emulator (a program that loads ROMs and lets you play them as if it were an SNES).

This hack comes in the form of a .bps file. A .bps file is not a ROM - it is a patch, which you apply to
the original game's ROM to turn it into a hack. A .bps file only contains the changes made to the original game.

To turn this .bps file into a ROM you can play in an emulator, do the following:

        1. Get a clean (unmodified) ROM of Super Mario World. (It's an .smc or .sfc file).
You'll have to get one yourself.

        2. Make sure the ROM is clean. The .bps file only works with a clean ROM.
You can use https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=onlinetools&tool=romclean to check.

        3. Open https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=onlinetools&tool=flips,
select the clean Super Mario World ROM as the "Base ROM"
and the .bps file as the "Patch",
           then click "Apply Patch".
You can then download the hack as a ROM.

           OR, ALTERNATIVELY:

Download Floating IPS from https://smwc.me/s/11474 and run it,
           click on "Apply Patch",
           then select the .bps file,
then select the clean Super Mario World ROM,
then choose where to save the output file.
The output file is the hack as a ROM.

        4. The file you got in step 3 is the hack, in the form of a ROM file.
You can open it in an emulator (such as snes9x or bsnes) to play the hack.
